Twelfth Night

Our production of Shakespeare’s well-loved comedy is set at the turn of the twentieth century when old distinctions of class and gender were just beginning to change. Twelfth Night is Shakespeare’s very own Upstairs Downstairs, where those in authority are ridiculed and their servants are allowed free scope to mock their betters. The unreliability of outward appearances, the uncertainty of gender and the folly of ambition combine in this merry romp in which Love, in every shape and form, is explored and exposed.
Performed at De Crypt, Gloucester from 30th November to 4th December 2021 and at Chapel Arts Cheltenham from 9th – 11th December 2021.
